Click on the link above to download the data entry form, which is an Excel spreadsheet, and enter your observations. Then send it as an e-mail attachment to email@example.com with "Natural history records" as the subject. Please include any additional information in your e-mail, like name and address, length of stay on Islay, Jura or Colonsay (if appropriate), etc.
The form already contains the common names of the majority of the birds, mammals, butterflies, dragonflies, flowering plants, etc. likely to be encountered on the islands which you can select from dropdown lists as well as type in normally if you prefer. The scientific names will be added automatically. Similarly, there is a dropdown list of a large number of named locations on the islands which, when you choose one, will automatically add a 4-figure grid reference. There are more detailed instructions within the spreadsheet.
If you have any problems with the spreadsheet, e-mail Malcolm Ogilvie (firstname.lastname@example.org) as he designed it!
