We're committed to helping young people understand our natural world, that's why our Nature Centre can accommodate both local and visiting educational groups from primary school through to post graduate research.
Our onsite facilities include:
Lecture hall seating up to 80 people with audio-visual facilities
Library with a broad selection of books, journals and local written material
Laboratory and study area for reviewing biological samples (sampling trays, microscopes, aquarium tanks, storage areas)
Field equipment for rock pooling, invertebrate collection and birdwatching
An extensive local biological records database
Access to local knowledge and expertise along with links into a network of research professionals who have visited Islay
